The first step is to create a foundation of either concrete, gum poles or bricks. The galvanized light steel frame panels are erected and secured to the foundation. The internal floor base is 18mm shutter shutterply installed on a light steel frame panel.
Tyvek Wrap
Tyvek wrap is a water vapour membrane which is then wrapped around the whole unit creating a waterproof barrier.
External Cladding
Once the wrap is installed the unit can be cladded using cement fiber planks to create a shiplap look, or using flat cement fiber boards, painting the boards black and installing Timber cladding. The corrugated roof sheeting is also installed at this stage.
Thermulation
The internal walls and ceiling panels are then insulated to create a comfortable work/living space and to make the unit energy efficient.
Internal Cladding
The walls and ceiling internally are cladded using gypsum boards on the walls and/or polystyrene boards on the ceiling.
Before installing the internal boards, the electricals, windows and door are installed.
Internal Finish
Once all the boards are installed, the walls and ceiling are then primed and painted. The floor can be finished off with either Vinyl or Laminated boards and skirting or tiles.
The electrical finishes are then installed.
The Finished Pod
The finished pod can be used for multiple purposes: Home Office, Home Gym, Home Studio, Therapy Room, , Pool Lounge, Games Room, Coffee Shop, Teen Pad, Airbnb Rental, Granny Flat and so much more.
